Biografía del autor

Carlos Rubio es profesor de lengua y literatura japonesa en el CES Felipe II de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. También impartió clases, en los años ochenta, en la Universidad de Tokio. Ha trabajado como lexicógrafo japonés-español para varias editoriales japonesas. Es traductor de obras clásicas de la literatura japonesa como "Kokinshu", "Heike monogatori", "Kojiki", "Sarashina nikki", "Soga monogatari" (con Rumi Tani) y de autores modernos como Soseki, Mishima y Kafu. Es autor del libro de referencia "Claves y textos de la literatura japonesa". En Alianza Editorial ha publicado la antología de poesía japonesa "El pájaro y la flor", además de las traducciones de las obras de Yukio Mishima "Confesiones de una máscara" (con Rumi Sato), "Los sables" (con Akiko Imoto) y "La escuela de la carne". En 2010 recibió el premio de Cultura del Gobierno de Japón.
