Peter Wohlleben (1964) creció en la ciudad de Bonn y se graduó por la Escuela Forestal de Rotemburgo del Néckar, donde inició su carrera. Durante dos décadas fue funcionario público en la Administración Forestal del Estado de Renania-Palatinado. Después de unos años como gerente en una oficina forestal, se trasladó a Eifel, al oeste de Alemania, donde dirige un bosque ecológico, trabajando para restaurar árboles primitivos y cuidar de animales salvajes y domésticos.<br> Wohlleben ha sido reconocido por su singular enfoque al escribir sobre la naturaleza; da vida a investigaciones científicas innovadoras a través de sus observaciones de la naturaleza y los animales que lo rodean.<br> Es autor de los bestsellers internacionales La vida secreta de los árboles y La vida interior de los animales.
