Laura Bates es periodista, activista y autora feminista, colaboradora habitual en The Guardian y The Independent, entre otros. También participa en Women Under Siege, una organización que lucha contra el uso de la violencia sexual como arma de guerra en zonas de conflicto en todo el mundo. Es fundadora de la página web Everyday Sexism Project, una recopilación de más de 200 000 testimonios sobre desigualdad de género, y autora de varios libros superventas, entre ellos Sexismo cotidiano y Los hombres que odian a las mujeres. Colabora estrechamente con organizaciones como el Consejo de Europa y las Naciones Unidas para abordar la desigualdad de género.
