x{0026}lt;P x{0026}lt;B Hiromi Kawakamix{0026}lt;/B nació en Tokio en 1958. Se dedicó a la enseñanza hasta la publicación de su primer libro de relatos, x{0026}lt;I Kamisamax{0026}lt;/I , por el que recibió el Premio Pascal. Desde entonces, se ha convertido en una de las escritoras más leídas y galardonadas de su país. En 1996 obtuvo el Premio Akutagawa por x{0026}lt;I Hebi o Fumu x{0026}lt;/I y, en el 2000, el Premio Ito Sei y el Woman Writerx{0026} x02019;s por x{0026}lt;I Abandonarse a la pasiónx{0026}lt;/I . Un año más tarde ganó el prestigioso Premio Tanizaki por x{0026}lt;I El cielo es azul, la tierra blancax{0026}lt;/I (Alfaguara, 2017), posteriormente galardonada con el Man Asian Literary Prize y adaptada al cine con gran éxito.
