C. S. Lewis (1898-1963) fue uno de los gigantes intelectuales del siglo XX y uno de los escritores más influyentes de su tiempo. Fue fellow y tutor en Oxford hasta 1954, cuando fue unánimemente elegido catedrático de literatura medieval y renacentista en Cambridge.
