A puzzling phone call shatters a writer's routine. An enigmatic female voice extends a dinner invitation, and it soon becomes clear that this is an invitation to take part in the documenta, the legendary exhibition of contemporary art held every five years in Kassel, Germany. Nació en Barcelona en 1948. Es uno de los más destacados escritores eu- ropeos del momento y su obra, que incluye novelas, ensayos y géneros híbridos, se ha traducido a más de una treintena de idiomas. Entre otros premios, ha obtenido el Rómulo Ga- llegos y el Médicis.
