Biografía del autor

Daniela Krien (Neu Kali , 1975) se formó en Estudios Culturales y Ciencias de la Comunicación en la Universidad de Leipzig. Trabajó en diversos oficios antes de 2010, cuando decidió dedicarse de lleno al cine y a la escritura. Considerada una de las voces más destacadas de la literatura alemana contemporánea, logró reconocimiento internacional desde la publicación de su primera obra, "Algún día nos lo contaremos todo" (2011), una novela sobre la reunificación alemana que le valió el prestigioso Junger Literaturpreis y fue traducida a 17 lenguas. Su segunda entrega, "El amor en caso de emergencia" (2019), llegó a lo más alto de las listas de best seller de su país, siendo traducida a 18 idiomas y llevada al cine por Emily Atef. "El fuego", publicado en castellano en 2023 por Vegueta, fue también un éxito rotundo en Alemania y en Suiza, tanto a nivel de crítica como de público. Por su trayectoria literaria, Daniela Krien obtuvo en 2018 el Sächsischer Literaturpreis. Actualmente vive en Leipzig con sus dos hijas.
