Biografía del autor

Gwen Adshead es psiquiatra forense y psicoterapeuta. Es doctora honoris causa por la Facultad de Medicina del Hospital Saint George y máster en Derecho y Ética médica. En 2013 recibió la medalla presidencial del Royal College of Psychiatrists. Durante décadas ha ejercido su oficio en instituciones penitenciarias y hospitales de máxima seguridad (incluido el hospital Broadmoor) y ha dedicado su carrera a tratar de comprender los mecanismos psicológicos que originan la violencia y ponen en riesgo la vida de los demás, así como a rehabilitar y ofrecer atención psiquiátrica en entornos seguros a personas convictas sobre las que recae el estigma y el rechazo de la sociedad.
