p Georges Perec nació en París en 1938 y falleció en 1982. Sociólogo de formación, colaborador de numerosas revistas literarias, obtuvo el premio Renaudot con su primera novela, em Las cosas /em . Personalidad ecléctica, fue ensayista, documentalista en neurofisiología, dramaturgo, guionista de cine, poeta, experto en acrósticos, crucigramas, lipogramas y anagramas, traductor y, em last but not least /em , miembro fundamental del OuLiPo (Ouvroir de Littérature Potentielle), fundado por Raymond Queneau y el matemático François Le Lionnais. Su obra monumental em La vida instrucciones de uso /em ganó el premio Médicis en 1978.
