A. M. Shine nació en Galway, Irlanda, y estudió allí su maestría en Historia antes de afilar la pluma y dedicarse a la literatura. Sus cuentos han ganado los premios Word Hut y Bookers Corner, y es miembro del Irish Writers Centre. Su primera novela, Los vigilantes (Nocturna, 2024), ambientada en un remoto bosque de Galway, ha sido aclamada por la crítica y adaptada al cine en 2024. Fiel seguidor del terror gótico, en sus libros profundiza en el folclore y los paisajes de Irlanda.
