Presented in November 2022 The film tie-in of one of the greatest survival stories of all time the 1972 Andes flight disaster. In October 1972, a plane took off from Uruguay carrying a team of young rugby players and their families and friends, headed for a match in Santiago, Chile. As weather conditions grew increasingly hazardous approaching the Andes, the pilots were forced to make an emergency landing in Argentina to wait out the storm. When conditions improved the next day, they took off once again, but due to a miscalculation, their plane was unable to clear the mountains and ended up crashing directly into them.

Obtuvo el segundo Premio Nacional de Literatura de Uruguay en 1987 y 2004.x{0026}lt;/P x{0026}lt;P Su primera obra, x{0026}lt;I Los tramoyistasx{0026}lt;/I (1979), fue traducida al portugués e inglés y reeditada en 2000. x{0026}lt;I La sociedad de la nievex{0026}lt;/I , adaptada al cine por Juan Antonio Bayona para Netflix, recibió en 2024 el Premio Libro de Oro de la Cámara Uruguaya del Libro.x{0026}lt;/P
