x{0026}lt;P x{0026}lt;B Ted Hughesx{0026}lt;/B (1930-1998) es uno de los grandes poetas ingleses del siglo XX. Fue nombrado poeta laureado en el Reino Unido, el poeta oficial de la Reina, título que obtuvo en 1984 y que conservó hasta su muerte. También es muy conocido por su matrimonio con la poeta estadounidense Sylvia Plath, que se suicidó en 1963. De esa relación surgió uno de sus libros más celebrados Cartas de cumpleaños (1998).
