Lee Child nació en Inglaterra en 1954. Es autor de veintiocho novelas policiales, entre ellas Oblígame, Mañana no estás, Escuela nocturna y El asunto, y numerosos relatos y ensayos, entre ellos El héroe, también publicado por Blatt x{0026}amp; Ríos. Su personaje, Jack Reacher, ha sido llevado al cine y adaptado a una serie en Amazon Prime.
