Julia Armfield nació en Londres en 1990. Escritora de ficción y dramaturga ocasional, tiene un máster en arte y literatura victorianos por la Universidad Royal Holloway. Su primer libro de cuentos, El gran despertar, publicado por Sigilo en 2021, la convirtió en una de las revelaciones de la literatura fantástica británica. Armfield vive y trabaja en Londres.
