We animals account for a paltry 0.3% of the planet's biomass while plants add up to 85%. Stefano Mancuso est le fondateur de la neurobiologie végétale. Professeur à l'université de Florence et membre de l'Accademia dei Georgofili, il dirige le Laboratoire international de neurobiologie végétale. En 2009, il est le premier scientifique à montrer les potentiels d'action spontanément produits dans l'apex des racines, similaires à ceux produits par notre cerveau. Publié en 2013, L'Intelligence des plantes est un best-seller. <br>Ouvrage pionnier sur le sujet, il est récompensé par de nombreux prix et traduit à ce jour en vingt et une langues. The New Yorker a inclus Stefano Mancuso parmi les world changers, et le quotidien La Repubblica parmi les vingt Italiens "destinés à changer nos vies".
