Ofelia has been sent to stay with her new stepfather, a ruthless captain of the Spanish army. For him, the dark and eerie forest in which they live is a cage, serving only to hide resistance fighters in the drawn-out and bloody civil war - those he has made it his aim to destroy. Nació en Dorsten (Alemania) en 1958. Pedagoga diplomada e ilustradora, ha escrito más de catorce libros para niños y jóvenes. Su último libro, El Señor de los Ladrones, se ha convertido en el gran libro revelación en Alemania y ha recibido cinco premios de Literatura Infantil y Juvenil.

Guillermo del Toro nació en Guadalajara, México, en 1964. Ha dirigido "Cronos", "Mimic", "El espinazo del diablo", "Blade II", "Hellboy", "Hellboy II", "Pacific Rim" y "El laberinto del fauno", que le han granjeado formidables elogios de la crítica en todo el mundo además de tres premios de la Academia; y "La forma del agua", con la que ganó el Óscar a la mejor película en 2018.
