Biografía del autor

Abraham Bram Stoker nació el 8 de noviembre de 1847 en Dublín, Irlanda, y fue un novelista y escritor de relatos cortos conocido fundamentalmente por su novela gótica Drácula, publicada en 1897. Stoker se interesó por el teatro mientras era estudiante y se convirtió en crítico teatral del Dublin Evening Mail. En 1878, Stoker se casó con Florence Balcombe, hija del teniente coronel James Balcombe, y juntos se trasladaron a Londres, donde Stoker se convirtió en director en funciones y luego en director comercial del Irvingx{0026} x02019;s Lyceum Theatre de Londres, cargo que ocupó durante veintisiete años. Mientras era director de Irving y secretario y director del Lyceum Theatre de Londres, comenzó a escribir novelas, empezando por El paso del serpiente en 1890 y Drácula en 1897.
