Biografía del autor

Katya Balen es codirectora de Mainspring Arts, una organización sin ánimo de lucro que organiza talleres creativos para personas autistas y neurodivergentes. Estudió Filología Inglesa y realizó un máster sobre el impacto de la literatura en el comportamiento de los niños autistas. Cuando no escribe o tiene algún proyecto entre manos, le gusta ver páginas web de refugios de acogida para perros, hornear pan y cuidar de sus plantas. Vive en Reading con su perro y su compañero, que es psiquiatra del Servicio Nacional de Salud británico. Es autora de varias novelas y libros ilustrados. Su segunda novela, Octubre, Octubre (Errata naturae, 2023), fue muy bien acogida por la crítica. El diario The Times, que la eligió Libro de la Semana, la calificó de clásico moderno y obtuvo en 2022 la Medalla Yoto Carnegiela.
