Biografía del autor

Autora de literatura juvenil, nacida en Jamaica y criada en Brooklyn (Nueva York). Su primera novela, Todo todo debutó en el número 1 de la lista de libros más vendidos del New York Times, y ya se ha publicado en 22 países y traducido a 21 idiomas. Nicola comenzó a escribir el libro cuando su hija contaba tan sólo cuatro meses de edad, ayudada por su marido, David Yoon, ilustrador del libro. Ambos son miembros del grupo pro-diversidad racial We Need Diverse Books. La productora de cine MGM ha comprado los derechos de Todo todo, con vistas a llevarla a la gran pantalla próximamente, con guión adaptado de J. Mills Goodloe y producción de Les Morgenstein y Elysa Dutton de Alloy Entertainment Features. La novela opta a los premios Goodreads Choice Awards 2015 en dos categorías y fue uno de los Buzz Books del año en la última Book Expo America. A Nicola le gusta escribir a mano los primeros borradores de sus historias y tiene la curiosa manía de guardar todos los bolígrafos vacíos que ha usado. Nicola vive en la actualidad en Los Ángeles junto a su marido y su hija, donde ya ha empezado a escribir su segunda novela.
