P Nacida en Manchester e hija adoptiva de una pareja muy humilde, B Jeanette Winterson /B creció en un entorno donde escaseaban los libros y abundaba el fervor religioso. A los dieciséis años se fue a estudiar a Oxford, donde viviría su primera aventura amorosa con otra mujer.
