Biografía del autor

Sergio De La Pava (Nueva Jersey, 1971) es un autor norteamericano. Es hijo de emigrantes colombianos y ejerce la abogacía en Nueva York. Su primera novela, Una singularidad desnuda, fue rechazada por varias editoriales estadounidenses. En 2008 la autopublicó y, ya en 2012, la University of Chicago Press la publicó con gran éxito de ventas y crítica. La novela recibió el premio de la revista Believer en el año 2012, ganó el premio PEN 2013 a la mejor primera novela, y fue finalista del FOLIO Prize británico en 2014. La crítica lo ha comparado con Thomas Pynchon, David Foster Wallace y William Gaddis. Además de Una singularidad desnuda, ha publicado Personae (2011), novela cuya traducción al español será publicada por Penguin Random House Colombia.
