Beaton /B (Glasgow, 1936-Gloucester, 2019) es el seudónimo que utilizó Marion Chesney, prolífica escritora escocesa con una reconocida trayectoria en el género histórico y romántico, para publicar sus novelas de detectives y misterio, entre las que destacan las sagas dedicadas a Hamish Macbeth y Agatha Raisin. De esta última, formada por más de treinta libros, se han vendido más de diez millones de ejemplares en más de quince países, y su exitosa versión televisiva, de la que se está rodando la quinta temporada en Inglaterra, se ha estrenado en España en 2021.<br>
