Noviembre 2013: una joven desaparece de camino a casa. Se llama Hannah Caswell, tiene 14 años y vive con su padre en Scarborough, una zona de páramos del norte de Inglaterra. A pesar de las sospechas paternas, el caso se archivará por falta de pruebas. Cuatro años después, Kate Linville, detective de Scotland Yard, vuelve al pueblo donde nació para hacerse cargo de la casa familiar. La vivienda está en muy mal estado y Kate tiene que alojarse en un Bed x{0026} Breakfast de Scarborough. Cuando desaparezca la hija de los propietarios, Kate se verá involucrada en la investigación.

Biografía del autor

Charlotte Link is the daughter of a well-known German writer and journalist, Almuth Link. She wrote her first work, Die schöne Helena when she was just 16 years old and published it at the age of 19. 1 <br><br>She is known as much for novels about contemporary life as for psychological detective novels in the English manner. The books Sturmzeit, Wilde Lupinen and Die Stunde der Erben form a trilogy. These, among others, have been filmed for TV series for the German television station ZDF.<br><br>Her novel, Am Ende des Schweigens was nominated in 2004 for the Fiction category of the Deutsche Bücherpreis (German Book Prize), while her book Die Rosenzüchterin, published in 2000, remained for several weeks at the top of the Spiegel Bestseller list.<br><br>Charlotte Link now lives with her partner and dog in Wiesbaden.<br><br>She is an active member of PETA and works for the street dogs of Turkey and Spain.<br><br>
