Nacido en Nueva York el 26 de enero de 1929, es autor e ilustrador de libros infantiles, guionista y humorista gráfico de fama mundial. Pertenece a la Academia Estadounidense de las Artes y las Letras y es conocido por su tira satírica Feiffer. Entre otros premios, ha ganado un Pulitzer y un Óscar.
