Björn Borg (Södertälje, Suecia, 1956) está considerado uno de los mejores tenistas masculinos de la historia. Compitió entre 1973 y 1981, logrando 96 títulos, 66 de los cuales en el circuito ATP, antes de retirarse con tan solo 26 años de edad por motivos nunca del todo desvelados. Prototipo de tenista completo, gran competidor en todo tipo de pistas, Borg fue la primera súper estrella del tenis en una época de grandes figuras, como Connors, McEnroe, Vilas o Lendl, y el jugador que revolucionó totalmente la competición, tanto por su forma de juego, agresiva, variada y potente, como por el interés mediático que despertó gracias a su carisma.
