Sarah Underwood nació cerca del mar, en Devon, Inglaterra. Se graduó en la Imperial College London en 2021, y tiene un máster en Bioingeniería Computacional. Actualmente está estudiando un posgrado en Epidemiología en la universidad de Cambridge. Esta es su primera novela.
