James Ponti nació en Italia, creció en Florida y estudió en California. Tras graduarse en guion por la USC Film School, comenzó su carrera escribiendo y produciendo programas de televisión para Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, PBS, Spike, History Channel y el Golf Channel. A James le encanta escribir, viajar y los Boston Red Sox. Vive con su familia en Maitland, Florida.
