First a Baltimore coffee shop. A seat in the corner, facing the door.

Black coffee, two refills, no messing about. A minor interruption from two of the customers, but nothing he can t deal with. As he leaves, a young guy brushes against him in the doorway.

Instinctively Reacher checks his pocket. There's no problem. Nothing is missing.

Second a store to buy a coat.

Nothing fancy. Something he can ditch when he heads to warmer climes. Large enough to fit a man the size of a bank vault.

Lee Child nació en Inglaterra en 1954. Es autor de treinta novelas policiales, entre ellas Oblígame, Mañana no estás, Escuela nocturna y El asunto; de numerosos relatos, que Blatt x{0026} Ríos ha publicado en dos volúmenes: Noche caliente y Sin segundo nombre; y del ensayo El héroe, también publicado por Blatt x{0026} Ríos. Su personaje, Jack Reacher, ha sido llevado al cine y adaptado a una serie en Amazon Prime. Sus libros fueron traducidos a medio centenar de idiomas y lleva vendidos más de cien millones de ejemplares en todo el mundo. Decidió dedicarse a la literatura después de quedarse desempleado debido a una reestructuración en una cadena de televisión británica. Actualmente vive en Estados Unidos.
