The classic novel by Bram Stoker, which made Count Dracula famous and his story. Jonathan Harker arrives in Transylvania to deal with the interests of the mysterious Count Dracula. He does not suspect, however, that his journey is not a coincidence and what is going to happen in the near future, will overwhelm the worst nightmare and eventually lead to a terrible duel with incarnate evil Structure: The presented story is divided into chapters and preceded by a map showing the substrate the hero and the Before You Read Activities section containing exercises introducing the reader into the text of the book in terms of vocabulary and grammar.Glossaries with translations of selected words located at the bottom of each page help to better understand the text. After each chapter there is a two-page After-Reading Activities section summarizing the chapter in terms of the content of the presented history, as well as grammar, vocabulary and known language forms, as well as supporting the development of reading comprehension and effective memorization.In the final part of the book there is a four-page Focus on section presenting interesting information related to the author, civilization and English language culture and geographical discoveries. The book is closed with the one-page Test yourself section, which checks the general level of understanding and remembering the history read, as well as the language forms learned, as well as the Syllabus section containing a brief description of the didactic intentions implemented in the book. The rich graphic design (including illustrations made by renowned illustrators of world-renown books) is an excellent visual commentary to the presented story and promotes a better understanding of the vocabulary and expressions found in the text.The book is an excellent tool consolidating the language competences and skills of young people and adults, including reading, listening, writing and speaking.



Biografía del autor

Bram Stoker, seudónimo de Abraham Stoker, fue escritor y crítico teatral. Se licenció con honores en Matemáticas y Ciencias. En 1876 se marchó como secretario y representante del actor inglés sir Henry Irving, con quien dirigió el Lyceum Theatre de Londres. Fue socio del actor hasta que éste murió en 1905. Escribió numerosos libros, entre los que podemos encontrar Recuerdos personales de Henry Irving (1906) y su obra maestra, Drácula (1897), en la que creó el renombrado personaje del vampiro, que ha trascendido en el tiempo y se ha convertido en un clásico en su género.
