Biografía del autor

Julia Phillips (1989, New Jersey, Estados Unidos) se licenció en Letras en Barnard College, y cursó uno de los semestres de su licenciatura en Moscú. Posteriormente, recibió una beca Fulbright que le permitió trasladarse a la península de Kamchatka y documentarse para la escritura de su primera novela. Es profesora de Escritura Creativa en Randolph College y escribe en diferentes medios, entre ellos The New York Times, The Atlantic y The Paris Review. En 2019 publicó La desaparición, que resultó finalista del National Book Award, del National Book Critics Circle en la categoría de primera obra y del Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, entre otros premios. Ha sido traducida a más de una veintena de lenguas.
