Courage Calls to Courage Everywhere

First written as a speech, Courage Calls to Courage Everywhere celebrates how far women's rights have come, and demands that we do more to achieve true equality. Emmeline Pankhurst's address 'Freedom or Death' given over a century ago is, here, printed alongside Winterson's own call to arms.

It serves as a reminder of the debt we owe to the incredible women who got us to where we are, and that the fight is far from over. There is still so much courage left to find.
