When estranged siblings Byron and Benny re-unite for their mother Eleanor's funeral, they discover that she has left them a puzzling inheritance. First, a voice recording in which everything Byron and Benny ever knew about their family is upended. Second, a traditional Caribbean black cake made from the family recipe, with a cryptic instruction to share the cake when the time is right' . . .
