Crow has lived her whole life on a tiny, starkly beautiful island. Her only companions are Osh, the man who rescued her from a washed-up skiff as a baby and raised her, and Miss Maggie, their neighbour across the sandbar.

Lauren Wolk es una galardonada novelista, poeta y artista. Entre sus libros destacan La montaña del Eco , My Own Lightning , Wolf Hollow , Beyond the Bright Sea y Candle Island . Nació en Baltimore, Estados Unidos, en el seno de una familia proveniente de una larga estirpe de granjeros, por lo que la naturaleza y el amor y el respeto hacia ella permean toda su obra. Tras vivir en diferentes lugares de Estados Unidos y Canadá, ahora reside con su familia en Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
