(Berlín, 1915 - Océano Atlántico, 1942) emigró de Alemania en 1935 y tras el estallido de la Segunda Guerra Mundial, y pese a su origen judío, fue calificado de extranjero enemigo e internado en un campo de concentración en Inglaterra. Tras la decisión del Gobierno británico de expulsar a todos los extranjeros internados en su territorio, fue deportado a Australia. En 1942, cuando por fin se le permitió regresar a Inglaterra, el barco en que viajaba fue torpedeado. El pasajero cayó en el olvido y no fue publicada en Alemania hasta 2018.
