Biografía del autor

Georgette Heyer, nació en Wimbledon, Londres, en 1902. Animada por su padre y para entretener a su hermano convaleciente, con solo diecinueve años, publicó su primera novela, The black moth (La polilla negra, 1921), dando comienzo a una carrera literaria colmada de éxitos. Autora de más de cincuenta novelas, escribió sin descanso un bestseller tras otro, la mayoría ambientados en el periodo de la Regencia.
