The wall of the old candy factory is covered with children's drawings, unreadable ads and various 25 January graffiti. In front of the wall stands a girl, Afaf. She takes a black spray bottle out of a plastic bag and writes a word.
It could be Singa, Sebha, Serga, Serenga or Sega. Then she stands in front of the passing train and commits suicide. Essam al-Sharkawi, a wannabe writer who spends his time trying to get close to the people of the neighbourhood, now tries to understand the meaning of the word Afaf wrote, the key to understanding her suicide.
But at the end Essam disappears mysteriously...
