A Tale of Two Cities

This classic novel by Charles Dickens begins in 1775, and is set in London and Paris before and during the French Revolution, a dangerous, violent time. Revolutionary peasants capture French aristocrat Charles Darnay and sentence him to death. Only his look-alike, English lawyer Sydney Carton, can save him. But both men love the same woman.
