Biografía del autor

Julián Casanova es Catedrático de Historia Contemporánea en la Universidad de Zaragoza y Profesor Visitante en la Central European University de Budapest/Viena. En 2018-19 fue miembro del Institute for Advanced Study de Princeton y en 2022-23 Distinguished Research Fellow en el Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia de la Universidad de Michigan. Casanova es uno de los principales historiadores españoles del siglo XX y reconocido internacionalmente por sus estudios sobre la Guerra Civil española. Sus numerosos libros han sido publicados tanto en español como en inglés y algunos han sido traducidos a otros idiomas cono el árabe o turco. En abril de 2021 el Gobierno de Aragón le concedió el Premio de las Letras Aragonesas . Su último libro es Franco, Crítica, Barcelona, 2025. Fue asesor histórico de la película de Alejandro Amenábar x{0026} x0201C;Mientras dure la guerrax{0026} x0201D; (2019). Ha dirigido 36 tesis doctorales.
