Slava Gelman wants to be a great writer, but can't get past his job as a lowly researcher at a New York magazine. Then his beloved grandmother dies, and his grandfather corners him with a request: to write a few Holocaust retribution claims that aren't quite true. Boris Fishman (Minsk, Bielorrusia, 1979) emigró a Estados Unidos cuando tenía nueve años. Es licenciado en Literatura Rusa por la Universidad de Princeton y ejerce como periodista, ensayista y crítico literario para The New Yorker, The Wall Street Journal o The Guardian. Una vida de repuesto, su aclamada primera novela, galardonada con el premio VCU Cabell First Novelist 2015, con la medalla Sophie Brody 2015 de la American Library Association y traducida a una decena de idiomas, le ha valido comparaciones con Saul Bellow, Henry Roth o Bernard Malamud.
