Músico, escritor, pintor, Peter Doherty (1979) es cantante y guitarrista de The Libertines y los Babyshambles, dos de las bandas indie más importantes de las últimas décadas, y de la banda experimental The Puta Madres. Ecléctico, introspectivo, transgresor, Peter Doherty está considerado como uno de los artistas más significativos de la escena rock alternativa del Reino Unido. Nacido en una familia de militares, pasó gran parte de su infancia y adolescencia en bases del ejército. Desde niño, la literatura, y especialmente la poesía, se convirtieron en su refugio, algo que es evidente en sus letras y en sus referentes. En 2005, Doherty se hizo un hueco diario en las cubiertas de los tabloides británicos debido a su relación con la supermodelo Kate Moss y a sus escándalos relacionados con las drogas. En la actualidad vive en Normandía (Francia).
