Autor e ilustrador nacido en Chile, actualmente reside en Barcelona (España). Pato Mena ha publicado en Chile y España. En dos ocasiones ha sido galardonado con la Beca Creación del Gobierno de Chile. 'La siesta perfecta', su primer libro con NubeOcho, ha obtenido tanto el Junior Library Guild Selection como el International Latino Book Award al mejor álbum ilustrado infantil en español.
