¿Quién se esconde entre el centeno?
Se supone que un tal Jerome David Salinger, nacido en la ciudad de Nueva York en 1919 y desaparecido en 2010, pero… ¿acaso importa? A Holden Caulfield, su personaje más memorable, bien poco le interesa contarnos su vida. Este adolescente empieza por confesar que no quiere aburrirnos con historias dickensianas, porque menudo rollo, qué pereza, no le tiréis de la lengua… Con Salinger, no polemicéis: no le hagáis preguntas. Si os apetece, siempre será _Un día perfecto para el pez banana_ o para cualquier otro de sus relatos, pero una vez iniciados en el camino de su magistral literatura, le acompañaréis sin dudarlo en su cruel desencanto hacia el mundo adulto.
Si no sois capaces de absteneros del natural morbo, leed a Salinger y buscad entre las líneas del centeno. Después de eso, cualquier respuesta os será indiferente, pues captar y apreciar su genio es simplemente inevitable.
