Lo único que se sabe oficialmente de él es que es el autor y protagonista de algunos de los libros juveniles de mayor éxito de los últimos años, como Una serie de catastróficas desdichas. Extraoficialmente, "Lemony Snicket" es el seudónimo de Daniel Handler, un guionista y escritor norteamericano.
