Sean McMeekin
Es un historiador estadounidense especializado en la historia europea del siglo xx, principalmente en lo que respecta a los orígenes de la Primera y Segunda Guerra Mundial y el papel de Rusia y el Imperio Otomano. Creció en Rochester, Nueva York, y estudió Historia en la Universidad de Stanford (1996). McMeekin es doctor en Historia por la Universidad de Berkeley, donde también fue profesor, así como en las universidades de Nueva York y Yale. Enseñó en Turquía como profesor adjunto de Relaciones Internacionales de la Universidad de Bilkent en Ankara, y en la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales y Humanidades de la Universidad de Koç en Estambul. Actualmente ejerce como catedrático Francis Flournoy de Historia y Cultura Europea en Bard College en el norte del estado de Nueva York. Es autor de varios libros y numerosos artículos. En castellano tiene publicados Nueva historia de la Revolución Rusa y, el más reciente, La guerra de Stalin.
