David Herbert Lawrence
D. H. Lawrence (1885-1930). Escritor inglés, autor de novelas, cuentos, poemas, obras de teatro, ensayos, libros de viaje y crítica literaria. Junto con Frieda Freiin von Richthofen, la mujer con quien vivió prácticamente toda su vida, viajó a Alemania, Austria e Italia, y, tras un corto periodo de vuelta a Inglaterra, inició una especie de peregrinaje por Australia, Italia de nuevo, la antigua Ceilán, Estados Unidos y México, siempre en busca del lugar ideal, hasta que, tuberculoso, terminó sus días en el sur de Francia.
