Sus obras han sido premiadas y han formado parte de las listas de los más vendidos. Su primer libro, x{0026}lt;I Las montañas de la mentex{0026}lt;/I , un apasionante recorrido por la historia de nuestra fascinación por las montañas, se convirtió en best seller y fue galardonado con el Guardian First Book Award y nombrado libro del año por x{0026}lt;I The New York Timesx{0026}lt;/I y x{0026}lt;I The Economistx{0026}lt;/I .
